Firmware Development

Custom embedded software for microcontrollers and SoCs. We work extensively with Nordic nRF platforms, STM32, and Zephyr RTOS to build robust, maintainable systems that don't fall over when edge cases hit.

PCB Design & Layout

Schematic capture and board layout for embedded systems, from simple two-layer prototypes through to complex multi-layer designs with tight RF and power integrity requirements. We design with manufacturability in mind—proper stack-ups, sensible component placement, and DFM checks before files go to fab.

We're experienced with mixed-signal layouts, BLE antenna matching, high-speed interfaces, and the fiddly analogue front-ends that sensor systems demand. Whether you need a quick dev board to prove a concept or production-ready hardware with proper test points and panelisation, we'll deliver files your manufacturer can actually use without a week of back-and-forth.

Mechanical Engineering

Product design that accounts for manufacturing reality from day one. We handle CAD modelling, enclosure design, and DFM analysis for injection moulding, sheet metal, and machined parts. Our background in mechanical engineering means we understand tolerances, material selection, and what happens when your elegant design meets a production line.

We work closely with manufacturers and tooling suppliers to ensure designs are producible at your target volumes and price point. That means fewer "we need to redesign this" conversations after you've already committed to tooling—and fewer surprises when the first samples arrive.

Sensor Integration & Fusion

From IMUs to environmental sensors, we handle the full chain—hardware selection, driver development, calibration, and sensor fusion algorithms. Our specialisms include motion tracking, orientation estimation, and quaternion-based attitude systems.

We've worked extensively with ST's LSM6DSV series, Bosch, and TDK sensors, implementing everything from basic data logging to complex AHRS solutions. If your product needs to know where it is or how it's moving, we can make that happen reliably.

Prototyping & Development Kits

Proof-of-concept hardware to validate your idea before committing to production tooling. We'll help you figure out what's actually feasible, identify technical risks early, and build something you can put in front of investors or test users.

This includes schematic review, PCB layout coordination with our manufacturing partners, and full bring-up support. We stay involved until the board's working and documented, not just until the Gerbers ship.

NPI and Transfer to Manufacturing

Taking a proven prototype into volume production is where most hardware projects stumble. We manage the NPI process end-to-end: supplier qualification, test fixture development, production documentation, and the endless back-and-forth with contract manufacturers to get yields where they need to be.

We've navigated the transition from "works on the bench" to "works at scale" across consumer electronics, industrial equipment, and medical devices. If you need someone who can speak to your CM in their language and catch problems before they become expensive, that's what we do.
